“Certified Vehicle” Programs With (Usually) Free Warranties
Posted by: admin / Category: CarsSeveral automakers have already announced their plans to operate “certified vehicle” programs for their off-lease cars. After undergoing a thorough inspection (followed by any necessary reconditioning), select low-mileage vehicles will be covered by an extended factory warranty ranging from 1 year/12,000 miles (on Fords) to as much as 6 years/100,000 miles (on Toyotas).
Most warranties will be provided to customers free of charge, and some automakers may offer a brief money back guarantee that would allow buyers to return their vehicles for a full refund if they’re not satisfied. (This might help their dealers to compete with used-car “super- stores” like CarMax and AutoNation.)
